ECHO Logo Standards

Approved Logo Use

The ECHO Logo is the identifying mark of the Executive Council of Homeowners, Inc. The following guidelines are provided for use of the logo in electronic formats. If you have any questions about the electronic format or electronic use, please e-mail info@echo-ca.org for further information. The following version, in PMS 215 and PMS 541, is the PRIMARY USAGE version and should be used in most applications.

To maintain consistency, use and reproduction of the ECHO logo are regulated. The following information provides specific guidelines for the use of the logo, including size, color, placement, and layout information.

Basic Guidelines

Size - Print

Note: To use the logo in large format applications such as posters or displays, scale it uniformly. Never stretch the logo vertically or horizontally.

Size - Electronic

Four sizes are available for electronic applications: 100 pixels wide (the smallest approved size); 200 pixels wide, 300 pixels wide, 400 pixels wide. The ECHO logo should always be used between 100 and 400 pixels wide. If you must resize the electronic versions, always scale down from a larger image. Never scale up or enlarge the electronic format logo.

Color

The ECHO logo may only be used or printed in one of four colors; PMS 215 and PMS 541, black or white.

Clear Space

Always frame the ECHO logo on all four sides with clear space equal to half the height of the logo itself.

Background Color

The preferred background color for the ECHO logo is white, with the logo appearing in PMS 215 and PMS 541 or black. The black logo may also appear on a light colored background, provided there is sufficient contrast between the background color and the logo. To help determine sufficient contrast refer to the color scale below (with #1 being the lightest shade and #10 being the darkest color shade, in this case PMS 541).

In instances where the logo appears on a medium colored printed background, and black or PMS 215 and PMS 541 inks are unavailable, the logo must be reversed out of the background, and appear white. The logo should never be placed over a texture, pattern or photograph that would make it difficult to read.
