Go into your HOA budgeting sessions with the knowledge and foresight on how to better plan for risk reduction and to optimize cost management.
Dive into the unique Echo Ask the Expert online event format and learn quickly and efficiently what you need from our experts. You will enjoy three, rapid-fire presentations on insurance areas critical to the management of an HOA. Followed by an in-depth 60-minute presentation into the impact of catastrophic failures such as wildfires, earthquakes, and management missteps (tower collapse) that help to explain the lack of availability of insurance products and the rising cost of insurance.
Elliot Katzovitz will lead off the general session by discussing wildfire insurance, availability of risk management products, and the economics of insurance. He will be joined by Greg DeFuria of Amwins Brokerage, a distributor of insurance products. Elliot and Greg will explore the challenges of the current insurance market, their expectations for the future, and the influences on the market for insurance.
Kevin Boland of The Boland Insurance Agency will give a refresher on walls-in, walls-out liability insurance coverage. Dan Wallis of Motus Insurance Services will discuss managing community risk from earthquakes and Charlotte Allen of the Socher Insurance Agency will review the types and importance of managing the board’s risk, including Errors and Omission (E&O) insurance and Directors and Officers (D&O) insurance.
After the general sessions, attendees will be placed in specially designed breakout chatrooms with an expert to ask their questions and learn from other HOA board members in attendance. These smaller group sessions will encourage sharing and cross-learning from HOA board colleagues and will be facilitated by an expert.
