Community Conversation: Governing Documents – Is it time to update?

Your association governing documents are the foundation of your community and how it is run. Making certain your governing documents are kept up-to-date with any changes
is an important part of your duty as a board member.

Industry expert Glenn Youngling, Esq., with the Youngling Law Firm will provide a brief overview of what documents make up your association’s governing documents and their hierarchy. He will then provide the process to amend governing documents and the main reasons your community should go through this process. Also, he will provide insight on what areas should be addressed in your documents and some popular additions that you may want to think about adding to your own documents such as EV stations, solar, vehicles & parking, and high risk components.
